Sometimes Laughter is the Best Medicine

“The human race has one really effective weapon, and that is laughter.”
—Mark Twain

Every once in a while, you have to step back and laugh. Even at things that are no laughing matter. Usually I take global warming and climate change pretty seriously, but I don’t mind when someone tries to get the point across using humour. It’s just one of the many ways to communicate. Some do it with facts and figures. Some with emotional outbursts. Some with song. And some with laughter.

The folks at Deep Rogue Ram have created a video that certainly accomplishes the goal of using humour to make a very serious point. As the weekend approaches and the summer is drawing to a close, enjoy this little piece of comedy.

Along the same lines, I’ve also included another item I posted earlier this summer which accomplishes a similar goal, courtesy of the Post Carbon Institute. They treat the Keystone XL Pipeline like the ex-boyfriend that just won’t leave. (Good things are worth repeating.)

  1. Bradley – Unbeknownst to you, you’re a Heather Libby fan… as it was Ms. Libby who penned both of these videos!

    • Thanks for pointing that out, Tod! I’m going to follow Ms. Libby on Twitter to keep tabs on her work. I am indeed a fan!
